The process is initiated by the sponsoring company in Brazil that will provide an invitation letter or an agreement with the foreign company, often for urgent or emergency services. Approval transmitted to the Consulate via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before the applicant can lodge the visa application. 

Three types of authorizations with varying processing times and maximum stays:

⦁ Regular (Processing time is 30-45 working days): Up to 1 year.

⦁ Simplified (Processing time is 5 working days): Up to 180 days.

⦁ Emergency (Processing time is 2 working days): Up to 180 days.

Important Notes:

The contract must detail purpose, value, validity, execution period, and other relevant clauses.

Emergency residence permit for 180 days allowed within 5 business days, extendable under certain conditions.
Competent entities for permit application include the recipient, a member of the same economic group, or an intermediary with exclusive territorial rights.
